During the festive season, Il Borro is filled with lights and scents, welcoming guests and visitors into an enchanting
atmosphere where Christmas tradition meets the timeless elegance of the Estate. Among twinkling streets, artisan workshops, and a spirit of conviviality, every corner of the medieval village becomes the stage for memorable experiences: from the magic of the lighting ceremony, to the warmth of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, to the charm of artisan Christmas workshops and moments of spirituality in the evocative Church of San Biagio. It is a special time to experience the magic of Christmas at Il Borro, an invitation to rediscover the joy of simple things, immersed in the beauty and serenity of the Tuscan countryside.

LIGHTING CEREMONY

On December 5th at 6:00 p.m., Il Borro will inaugurate the festive season with the Lighting Ceremony: for the first time, the Medieval Village will glow with thousands of sparkling lights, wrapping its streets, houses, and gardens in a radiant, enchanting embrace. A bubbly toast and the cheerful tunes of the Banda della Tramontana will complete the festive atmosphere of the day.

VILLAGE CELEBRATION

From December 6 to January 7, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Vin Caffè Orto del Prete will welcome guests of the Estate to the Medieval Village with the aroma of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. Along the twinkling streets, the village Artisans will bring to life creative workshops and Christmas crafts, embracing the warmth and enchantment of the festive season. From December 6 to 21, on Saturdays and Sundays, the Flower Corner will join the celebrations in the village with its beautiful Christmas wreaths.

Cantine Aperte

On December 7, the Cantine Aperte event invites guests to discover Il Borro’s winemaking tradition through a journey of history, flavor, and terroir: the experience begins with a visit to the Art&Wine Gallery, followed by a tour of the Tinaia and both the new and historic cellars, and concludes with a tasting of three wines paired with seasonal produce from the vegetable garden and artisanal gelato.

Christmas at Il Borro

On Christmas morning, at 9:30 a.m., the bells of the Medieval Village Church will ring to announce the Christmas Mass celebrated by Don Mario, followed by the opportunity to admire the ancient mechanical nativity scene. Afterwards, the Osteria del Borro will welcome guests for Christmas lunch, who will weave together signature cuisine and traditional flavors in a culinary journey specially created for the occasion.

New Year's at Il Borro

On December 31, the Estate will bid farewell to the year with the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, hosted in its restaurants: the Tuscan Bistrò, offering a menu inspired by the Farm-to-Table philosophy, and the Osteria del Borro, where experienging a contemporary cuisine with meticulously crafted dishes. After dinner, the Midnight Celebration will lead guests into the New Year with live music, an open bar, and a dessert buffet, all set within the enchanting atmosphere of the historic Tinaia.
