The Bibenda guide, originally conceived as a reference book dedicated to the best wines of Italy, has awarded its highest recognition, the 5 Grappoli, to Il Borro 2020.

The 5 Grappoli is a prestigious award given exclusively to wines considered to be authentic territorial excellences and true Italian wine treasures. This award is received by wines that have scored between 91 and 100 points during tastings.

Il Borro is the flagship wine of our winery, the one that best embodies our values and vision. It is made from Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon, and Syrah. Il Borro is a full-bodied, elegant wine, perfectly combining refinement and structure. It has a deep red color with purple highlights and an intense aroma, with notes of underbrush opening onto warm spices and hints of cocoa and sweet tobacco. With its soft tannins and velvety finish, it pairs perfectly with Tuscan specialties based on meat, aged cheeses, and well-structured meat dishes like braised meats, wild boar stew, or Florentine steak.
