Il Borro is proud to announce the launch of a new corporate welfare project focused on sustainable energy production, titled “IL BORRO Green Energy & Corporate Welfare.”

This project represents a further step in Il Borro’s commitment to environmental, economic, and social sustainability, reaffirming its role as a pioneer in luxury hospitality and organic farming.

The initiative was developed within the framework of the Sustainability Table of Confindustria Toscana Centro e Costa, in response to the growing interest of participating companies in both social and environmental issues. Implemented with the support of the Florence-based company Tera Energy, the project aims to improve the quality of life for employees and their families through innovative corporate welfare solutions. The goal is to create a more inclusive work environment, attentive to social needs while promoting energy efficiency.

The project allows for the allocation of surplus 100% renewable electricity, generated by the company’s photovoltaic systems, to employees. This energy, together with Guarantees of Origin (GO), will enable participating workers to sign green energy supply contracts on favorable terms.

In the first year, the pilot project will be dedicated to a group of agricultural sector employees at Il Borro, who will receive up to €300 annually in energy cost contributions to help reduce their bills. The project will be gradually expanded in the following years, with the aim of involving all company employees and extending the benefits through different initiatives.

With this project, Il Borro reaffirms its forward-looking vision, demonstrating that sustainability is not just a corporate philosophy but a reality that touches every aspect of working life.
