Alessandro dal Borro 2018 – 98/100 This is very classy and complex with lots of syrah character of berries, grilled meat, flowers and dried soil. Medium-bodied with fantastic depth and length and beautifully fine tannins. 2,245 magnums made. From organically grown grapes. So drinkable now, but will age beautifully. Il Borro 2020 – 96/100 This is a round and rather juicy young wine with blackberry, chocolate and grilled meat notes. Full and layered with very fine tannins that are well integrated and a bright finish. Lively at the end. A blend of 35% cabernet sauvignon, 50% merlot and 15% syrah. 50% aged in 20-hectoliter casks. From organically grown grapes. Needs three or four years to come together. Nitrito 2020 – 96/100 Really varietal in a classy way, with fresh herbs, currant bush and violets. Very aromatic. Full and layered with very enticing tannins that caress your palate. Hints of wood, but will integrate beautifully. Pure cabernet sauvignon. Single vineyard. This is going to develop really well in the bottle. Fascinating. 2,600 bottles made. From organically grown grapes. Needs three or four years to come together.
