Il Borro is proud to announce that Vittoria Ferragamo has joined the new Sustainable Development Commission of Relais & Châteaux, an initiative aimed at strengthening the Association’s commitment to environmental and social sustainability.

Vittoria Ferragamo was personally selected by the President for her work at Il Borro, where she has successfully integrated and developed the theme of sustainability across all areas of activity on the estate: from viticulture to the Organic Garden and livestock farming, from the production of extra virgin olive oil to cheese and honey, from organic flour to eggs, as well as the extensive use of renewable energy sources, CO2 emissions monitoring, and the use of photovoltaic panels, producing more energy than consumed, along with water resource reuse systems.

Il Borro, also a member of the United Nations Global Compact, thus reaffirms itself as a virtuous example of sustainability, which is one of the cornerstones for Relais & Châteaux. In line with the Association’s mission, Vittoria Ferragamo and her team work consistently to preserve biodiversity, promote short supply chains, and protect the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
