Organic farm

The environment As the highest priority
Sustainability, the use of renewable energy sources and respect for the environment in agricultural and wine production are just some of the issues that distinguish the soul of Il Borro, since it embarked on a conversion from conventional to organic farming in 2012. A change of course in respect of nature and crop cycles.
balance sheet of
sustainability
As early as 2012, chemical products were totally excluded and vineyard management according to organic farming principles began, with the aim of increasing product sustainability. The basis of our sustainable organic philosophy is to create a closed farm production cycle and foster biodiversity by creating complex ecosystems. In 2020 Il Borro publishes the first sustainability report demonstrating the continuous search for balance between nature, man and land.

Il Borro adheres to the United Nations Global Compact
This is an important commitment on a voluntary basis, involving the integration of the Ten Core Principles within its business strategy to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals under the 2030 Agenda.

our organic products
Il Borro is an organically and sustainably managed estate. L’Orto del Borro respects the cycle of the seasons and natural balances, safeguarding traditional local seeds and crops, which make the harvest genuine and varied. More than 100 beehives are also located on the estate, not only for the production of organic honey, but also to support the biodiversity of the flora.
