Orto del Borro and farm
The garden of the Borro
L’Orto del Borro, located in the hills of the Valdarno Aretino valley, is named after the village of the same name and now covers 3 hectares. Established in 2012 and certified as organic since 2015, the garden follows a production system that respects and enhances natural balances while safeguarding traditional seeds and crops. These include typical Tuscan varieties such as Florentine Costoluto Tomatoes, Fiesole Zucchini and Florentine Eggplant, which enrich our harvest with authentic and genuine flavors while preserving the fertility of the soil.

Passion for organic
The Orto de Il Borro strictly follows the principles of organic farming, growing seasonal vegetable species without the use of chemicals. Every step, from planting to harvesting, is carried out using natural methods that respect soil fertility and promote biodiversity. We use techniques such as crop rotation, mulching and “friendly insect” care to maintain a natural balance. Medicinal herbs and natural macerates are used to protect plants and enrich the soil, ensuring a healthy, rich and sustainable harvest.
Beyond theOrto del Borro
A Il Borro, our passion for the land and respect for nature have led us to create a garden that not only produces fresh seasonal vegetables, but also a selection of excellent foods that tell the story of our area.
In addition to growing vegetables, we are dedicated to the production of flours from ancient grains, spelt (low gluten) and buckwheat (gluten-free), which are ideal for making artisanal pasta and savory snacks. To complete the offerings, our garden has no shortage of processed products such as tomato sauce and zucchini puree, all made from the fresh produce of our land. Every step of the process, from planting to harvesting, is carefully followed by experts in the field to ensure the excellence of our products. In addition to vegetables, we raise Sardinian and Lacaune sheep in our area to produce our pecorino cheese, and bees that give us genuine and fragrant honey. The desire to produce only the best while respecting the times of our land is at the heart of our agribusiness philosophy.
