The Borro signs the manifesto "Enterprises for People and Society"
Il Borro is pleased to announce that it has signed the “Businesses for People and Societies” Manifesto drafted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, which Il Borro officially joined last July. By signing the Manifesto, Il Borro is committed to strengthening the role of the Social Dimension in its business strategies to generate long-term value, including in the supply chain and in the communities in which it operates.

“I am proud to announce that Il Borro becomes a signatory to the Manifesto “Businesses for People and Society,” the text addressed to businesses and drafted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy. This important commitment, in line with the Ten Principles drawn from the UN declarations and conventions, represents an opportunity for us to contribute even more concretely to a new phase of globalization characterized by sustainability, international cooperation and partnership in a multi-stakeholder perspective.”

A concrete commitment of the Estate in the field of sustainability, which has always guided its choices embracing all its souls: from the wine activity to the Organic Garden and breeding, from the production of extra virgin olive oil to dairy and honey, from flours to organic eggs, up to the extensive use of renewable energy sources , the use of photovoltaic panels and systems for the reuse of water resources. The United Nations Global Compact is an initiative that promotes the goals and values of the United Nations through responsible business practices. The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. First and foremost, the Italian Network works to promote the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles through institutional dialogue, knowledge production and the dissemination of good sustainability practices, engaging in the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations for 2030.
