Origins and Family
Il Borro has its roots in a fascinating thousand-year history, brought back to life by the Ferragamo family, including in the aspect of wine production. With a careful study of the terroir, unique microclimate and soil composition, Salvatore Ferragamo embarked on an ambitious revalorization project. He has recovered historic vineyards, preserving their value, and introduced new vines in harmony with the terroir to bring out their potential to the fullest.
Organic Farming
Since 2015, Il Borro is certified organic, reflecting a sustainable philosophy that values biodiversity and protects the environment. Every activity is inspired by respect for nature, from the vineyards to the crops of the ‘Orto del Borro, in an ongoing commitment to responsible agriculture.
The Estate
Spread over 85 hectares of vineyards between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, the estate represents a perfect blend of hospitality and agricultural production. Every corner tells the story and essence of Tuscany, offering unique experiences in a setting of extraordinary beauty.

The wine production of Il Borro is a harmony between local tradition and international grape varieties. Sangiovese joins Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, resulting in wines that express the authenticity of the area, with the Valdarno di Sopra DOC designation as a symbol of quality and history.
The Montalcino estate
Pinino: A New Chapter
In 2024, Il Borro it expands with the acquisition of the prestigious Pinino Estate in Montalcino, adding to its collection the renowned Brunello di Montalcino, an example of excellence and winemaking mastery.
