Il Borro is pleased to announce that it has signed the “Businesses for People and Society” Manifesto drafted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, which Il Borro officially joined last July.
By signing the Manifesto, Il Borro commits to strengthening the role of the Social dimension in its business strategies to generate long-term value, also within the supply chain and in the communities where it operates.

“I am proud to announce that Il Borro is becoming a signatory of the ‘Businesses for People and Society’ Manifesto, a document aimed at companies and drafted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy. This significant commitment, in line with the Ten Principles drawn from UN declarations and conventions, represents for us the opportunity to contribute even more concretely to a new phase of globalization characterized by sustainability, international cooperation, and partnerships in a multi-stakeholder perspective.” Says Ferruccio Ferragamo, President.
A concrete commitment
A concrete commitment of the Estate in the field of sustainability, which has always guided its choices by embracing all its facets: from viticulture to the Organic Vegetable Garden and breeding, from the production of extra virgin olive oil to dairy and honey production, from flours to organic eggs, to the extensive use of renewable energy sources, the use of photovoltaic panels, and systems for water reuse.
